The idea for this coat rack was born from the discovery of reclaimed winch hooks at Vancouver’s Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
While the exploration took advantage of reclaimed formwork plywood and a reclaimed curtain rod, the finished product is to have a more polished look. The design features a steel plate for wall mounting concealed behind a more deliberate reclaimed wood board and a powder-coated bent steel tube to support the hooks. All fasteners are to be concealed, creating a dialogue between the imperfection of reclaimed materials and deliberate, seamless design.
